Rainier has been teaching since 1990 and has studied under such notable coaches as Dan Messenger, Debbie Alvalos, Shirley Johnson, and Timothy and Michelle Mason. He has competed successfully at the professional national level in American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Standard, and International Latin, and has recently joined the staff of Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre.
